LETHBRIDGE – A local non-profit organization is set to benefit from federal funding.
On Tuesday, Lethbridge MP Jim Hillyer announced $390,000 for 5th on 5th Youth Services The money will help fund two projects aimed at helping young people and people with disabilities successfully transition to the job market or return to school.

“We are proud to work with organizations like 5th on 5th Youth Services that help Canadians of all ages and abilities , including those in Lethbridge, develop the skills and gain the experience they need to succeed in the job market,” said Hillyer.
Officials with 5th on 5th are very happy with the funding. Executive Director Gail McKenzie said “We are thrilled to continue offering these two much-needed programs in the community.”

Later in the day, Hillyer announced a total of $686,786 for separate projects at Lethbridge Family Services, the Lethbridge Public Library and the Galt irrigation canal in Magrath. He is also scheduled to make an infrastructure announcement at the Carway border crossing at 10:00 a.m Wednesday.
