SASKATOON – Sentencing has been delayed for a man convicted of harassing a Saskatoon judge. Christopher Hahn was supposed to be sentenced on Tuesday.

Hahn, who is representing himself in court, asked that his sentencing be pushed back until crucial documents he requested arrive in his care, including letters of support he plans to submit on his behalf.

In May, Hahn was found guilty by a jury of harassing Judge Shawn Smith after he made a family court ruling in 2009 that wasn’t in Hahn’s favour.

During the trial, jurors heard from several witnesses, including Smith, who testified to reporting Hahn to police after he launched a poster campaign against Smith.

Hahn argued the posters he distributed slamming Smith were freedom of speech and that he had no history of violence.
