Three-alarm fire breaks out in Verdun triplex

MONTREAL – A fire broke out in a triplex in Verdun about 1:45 a.m. Friday morning.

The three-alarm fire ignited on 1st Avenue, near Bannantyne Avenue.

It is believed the blaze started on the first floor of the residential building, but then spread to the second-storey and the roof.

The first floor is reportedly completely destroyed and the second floor has extensive damage.

Six people were evacuated unharmed.
