Canoe/Kayak athlete Alex Brent is the lucky one chosen to be the flag bearer for Team BC on Aug 7.
This year marks the 11th Western Canada Summer Games which is being held in Wood Buffalo, Alberta. BC has participated in the games since they first began in 1975, winning a trophy every year. Brent never imagined himself being picked to carry the flag for Team BC, now that he has, he’s thrilled.
“I understand the amount of hard work and time that is required to reach this level of competition and it’s a great honour to be selected from a group of such high caliber athletes.”
