Parks Canada closed the trail immediately to complete a hazardous tree assessment.

On Wednesday, officials announced the trail had been reopened following repairs to the trail, railings and boardwalk.

Public Relations and Communications Officer Christina Tricomi said more than 20 trees had been removed after they were deemed a hazard.
