MONTREAL – The sun is shining on Ste-Catherine Street today as Canada’s largest sidewalk sale kicks off.
From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Ste-Catherine Street is closed to traffic from Guy Street to Bleury.
More than 300, 000 people are expected to stop by and hunt for bargains at the 18th edition of ” La Ste-Catherine Célèbre.”
The two-km stretch of road offers more than just great sales, but also great entertainment.
Dancers, DJs, salsa lessons, face painting and a sports corner ensure that there is something for everyone.
Shoppers can refresh themselves and do some people watching at the numerous food and beverage stands.
A new addition to the street fair is the styling booths, where men and women can benefit from the advice of a professional stylist and learn to dress their silhouette.
