Two shootings reported in northeast Calgary

Police investigate reports of shots fired at a home in the 300 block of Falconridge Crescent N.E. Global News

CALGARY – Police are investigating reports of gunfire in two Calgary communities.

Officers were called to a home in the 400 block of Templewood Place N.E. just before 1 a.m. on Friday after witnesses told investigators they heard as many as six gunshots in the alley.

Police are searching for a vehicle seen speeding away from the scene. It’s described as a red or burgundy SUV, possibly a Lincoln Navigator or Cadillac.

Although investigators found shell casings in the area, there were no bullet holes located or reports of injuries.

Officers received a second report of gunfire just after 2:30 a.m. in the community of Falconridge.

Investigators found a bullet hole in the main floor of a house located in the 300 block of Falconridge Crescent N.E.

Police suspect the blast may have come from a shotgun.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators are working to determine if both incidents are related.
