WINNIPEG — A dozen Manitobans, including Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews, received the Order of Manitoba Thursday afternoon.
The room was packed as people from all walks of life were celebrated during the ceremony at the Manitoba Legislature at 4 p.m. Activists, musicians and athletes were presented with the province’s highest honour by Lt. Gov. Janice Filmon.
