Police release portrait of attempted child abductor in Pierrefonds

Police have released a robo-portrait of the alleged Pierrefonds abductor. Montreal police

PIERREFONDS-ROXBORO – Montreal police have released a robo-portrait of the man who alleged attempted to abduct a child on Montreal’s west island.

He is described as Caucasian, in his forties and thin with a potbelly.

A nine-year-old girl had told investigators that she was playing in Villeret Park on the west side of Pierrefonds last Friday afternoon.

According to Constable Anie Lemieux, a man approached the girl and attempted to grab her.

The girl managed to escape and run home, where her parents called the police.

Lemieux said police do not have reports of any other similar incidents in that area.

Anyone who has seen anything suspicious in the Pierrefonds area is asked to contact police.
