MONTREAL – Traffic is back to normal after the Montreal police bomb squad investigated a suspicious package that was left on the corner of Berri and Ontario streets.
Police received the 911 call at 11:20 a.m.
A large area between de Maisonneuve, Sherbrooke, Saint-Denis and Saint-Hubert streets had been closed off, but is now back to normal.
“The package itself has been transferred to the arson squad. We don’t know what was inside.”

The contents of the box are still considered suspicious.

Emran said he could not provide more detail until the arson squad takes a look at what’s inside.
There were no injuries.
