TORONTO – Those looking for Toronto Pan Am and Parapan Am Games tickets for a reduced price are in luck today.
CIBC, one of the sponsors for the Games, is offering a promo code for 25 per cent off tickets on Canada Day.
The price discount is valid Wednesday through to Thursday at 9 p.m.
Just last week, organizers said about 650,000 of the 1.2 million tickets have been sold so far.
Officials said it’s common for major sporting events to see a significant surge in ticket sales in the weeks immediately before the Games begin.

However, a number of key events have been sold out for months, including the opening ceremony, as are gold-medal games for some sports, such as men’s baseball, men’s soccer and men’s basketball.
The Pan Am Games will take place from July 10 to 26, and the Parapan Am Games from Aug. 7 to 15.
