Canada’s top patios for outdoor dining, according to OpenTable

TORONTO — Summer, now officially upon us, is synonymous with patio season. And there are plenty of great outdoor dining options to choose from. Online reservation site OpenTable.com has come out with its annual list showcasing 100 of Canada’s best.

“The list of honourees is based on an analysis of more than 275,000 reviews of approximately 1,600 restaurants across the country — all submitted by verified diners,” the site reads.

Ontario has 41 of the top patio picks, 20 of which can be found in Toronto and six in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

British Columbia has 29; 19 of them are in greater Vancouver and a handful are in the province’s wine country.

Alberta is home to 17, the majority (13) of which are in Calgary.

Edmonton, Banff, Lethbridge and Bragg Creek each have one spot on the list (respectively: Violino Gastronomia Italiana, The Bison Restaurant, Firestone Restaurant and Bar, The Bavarian Inn Restaurant).

So does Manitoba with Pineridge Hollow.
