Pattullo Bridge re-opened after crash sends person to hospital with serious injuries

The Pattullo Bridge is open again after a serious multi-vehicle accident closed the crossing Saturday night.

The crash appears to have been caused by a northbound tow truck that lost control and collided with at least two southbound vehicles at around 8 p.m. One person was sent to hospital with serious injuries. Three others were transported to hospital in stable condition.

The bridge remained closed until about 5 a.m. Sunday as police investigated.

Police say speed may have been a factor in the crash and the tow truck driver could face charges.
