WINNIPEG — The Manitoba Marathon kicked off in Winnipeg Sunday morning.
Crowds gathered at Chancellor Matheson Road and University Crescent as racers prepared near the start line shortly before 7 a.m.
Runners can expect water stations, cheering supporters and entertainment along their routes.

Global’s Skyview 1 helicopter was overhead for the first two hours of the marathon.
