TORONTO — Actor John Stamos arrived in Toronto late Sunday — only two days after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The 51-year-old former Full House star tweeted: “Thank you Canadian immigration – you were super cool” after clearing Customs at Pearson International Airport.

Under Canadian immigration law, people who “have committed or been convicted of a crime,” including “driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol,” can be deemed inadmissible.

Stamos, alone in his car, was stopped Friday night by Beverly Hills police investigating reports of a suspected drunk driver. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center “due to a possible medical condition,” where police said tests determined he was intoxicated.

“Thanks to everyone for their love & support,” he tweeted on Saturday. “I’m home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care.”

Stamos is in Toronto this week to shoot scenes for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. The sequel to the hit 2002 comedy is scheduled to wrap production in the city at the end of June.
