3 RCMP officers injured in crash between two police vehicles

NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask. – Three RCMP officers were hospitalized after a crash between two police vehicles in North Battleford, Sask. Saturday. Officers were initially called to a break and enter at a residence at 5:15 a.m.

RCMP say the officers were responding to the “serious call” when the collision occurred at the intersection of 11th Avenue and 102 Street.

Two men and one woman were taken to hospital. RCMP say their injuries were described as serious and non-life threatening.

Two of the officers have been released from hospital in North Battleford while the third is being transferred to Saskatoon for further treatment.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing with the assistance from RCMP collision reconstructionists.

The initial break and enter complaint is also being investigated.
