WATCH ABOVE: Several severe weather warnings were in place for much of central Alberta Thursday.
EDMONTON — All of the severe weather warnings and watches that were issued for areas of central and southern Alberta Thursday have been dropped.
Severe thunderstorm watches and warnings were in place for most of central Alberta Thursday afternoon.
Tornado watches and warnings were also in place for a period of time Thursday evening, in the Ponoka, Lacombe and Drayton Valley areas.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m. Thursday, all watches and warnings previously issued by Environment Canada had ended.
Storm watchers took to Twitter Thursday night to share the conditions in their areas.
