TORONTO — Actress Kristen Bell is urging mothers to raise their voices over a cover story in the new issue of Star magazine titled “Best & Worst Moms.”

The 34-year-old actress, who has two daughters with actor Dax Shepard, tweeted Wednesday: “I hope no one responsible for this weeks (sic) cover of @Star_News is raising children of their own. shame on them.”

She then tweeted: “Hey moms-FOR REAL- lets (sic) tell @star_news how we feel about them attempting to publicly shame other moms. #momsFTW.”

Shepard added his voice with a tweet. “Please let @Star_News know how you feel about their cover ranking “Best and Worst Mom.” Mine are leaning towards repugnant.”

The Star “report card” — which asks “Who whips her kids with a stick?” and “Who waxes her baby’s eyebrows?” — gives Kim Kardashian a D-, Naomi Watts a C+, Hilary Duff a C- and Kate Middleton an A-.

Bell is not among the 17 famous moms rated in the magazine.

Duff, whose son’s father is Canadian former hockey player Mike Comrie, is criticized because she “seems to care more about hooking up on Tinder than taking care of her son, as she sings praises to the dating app in her video.”

Star slammed Kardashian for being “adamant about creating me time for herself, which includes morning workouts, glam sessions, and afternoon lunches with friends.”

Both Mariah Carey and Rosie O’Donnell are criticized for relying on nannies.

June Shannon of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo fame earned an “F” because of “disturbing reports June was dating a man who allegedly molested her eldest daughter, Anna, leading to the hit show’s cancellation.”

Star rated Angelina Jolie a good mother because she is “rarely seen without her brood of six” and commended Jennifer Lopez for “always having her twins by her side.”

Both Bell and Shepard have advocated for tabloids and celebrity magazines to refrain from publishing photos of children. She launched the No Kids Policy last year that encouraged stars to decline interviews with outlets that publish photos of celebrities’ children.

“The response has been so overwhelming that it’s really almost a moral stance that the consumer demanded their publications take,” Bell told The Associated Press last September.

“We’re all consuming healthier media now.”

Bell is the voice of Anna in Frozen and has starred in Veronica Mars, Gossip Girl, House of Lies and Scream 4.

Star is part of American Media Inc., which also publishes the National Enquirer and the U.S. edition of OK! as well as RadarOnline.com.

The magazine has compiled a “Best & Worst Moms” feature annually for several years.

Bell’s campaign against Star is getting some support on Twitter.

“Being a mom is demanding enough w/out feeling like you’ll be judged and compared,” wrote @KellyLiz1321. “Stop perpetuating filth.”

Tweeted @ABowenGirl: “Such a disgrace. Horrible representation of #journalism. Oh wait, this is Star.”

At least one person worried the campaign will only fuel interest in the magazine.

“Just gets them more buyers,” tweeted @TheLeeWilliams.
