EDMONTON – A fire in north Edmonton Wednesday morning destroyed one home and damaged three others.

Fire crews were called to the scene on 123 Street between 117 and 118 Avenue in the Inglewood neighbourhood shortly before 2 a.m.

The fire stared at a home under construction and spread to three nearby homes, one of which was badly damaged.

“On arrival crews immediately struck a second alarm. There was a building under construction fully involved and it was effecting the neighbouring buildings on the north and south of that,” said District Chief Paul Colcy, Edmonton Fire Rescue.

There was a person inside the house that suffered significant damage at the time of the fire; that individual escaped safely.
