REGINA – Three men were sent to hospital – one with serious injuries – after a fire in Whitewood, Sask. Thursday afternoon.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m. Broadview RCMP were called to a house fire in the 900 block of 4th Ave.

Witnesses reported hearing small explosions around the time of the fire, which was contained by Whitewood Fire Services before it engulfed the house.

Three males all under the age of 19 were in the house at the time of the fire – two were transported to hospital in Broadview and have been released, the third was transported to a hospital in Regina by STARS with what are described as serious injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by RCMP.
