Ontario man arrested for trafficking cocaine, ketamine by mail

WATCH: Inspector Howie Page from the Toronto police showed off a huge amount of cocaine and cash seized in a recent sting.

TORONTO – Toronto police have arrested a 28-year-old Woodbridge man for allegedly trafficking cocaine and ketamine through the mail.

Police say the suspect used a national courier in the Greater Toronto Area to ship the drugs to Edmonton.

“A pattern of behaviour triggered the identification of this original package by an alert courier company employee,” said Toronto police drug squad Inspector Howie Page during a press conference Friday.

Police say the package contained five kilograms of cocaine and one kilogram of ketamine with a street value of $550,000.
