Fire crews are keeping a close eye on a wildfire burning north of the Horseshoe Bay terminal.
A small grass fire broke out Monday afternoon and quickly spread to neighbouring trees along the Sea to Sky highway near Lions Bay. It reignited around 4 a.m. Tuesday. Crews responded and spent a few hours putting out spot fires.
Firefighters believe the flames were sparked by hydro lines rubbing against a tree.
The blaze was quickly contained but crews say they were concerned because it was close to town.
They have been keeping an eye on the smoke overnight are still on scene to monitor any more activity.
