MONTREAL – A construction blitz on the Champlain Bridge that was supposed to end on Tuesday morning at 3:00 a.m. has finished one day ahead of schedule.
The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) sent out a tweet early Monday Morning saying the bridge was completely reopened to traffic.

All three southbound lanes on the bridge had been closed, while two northbound lanes remained open, as workers replaced six expansion joints and carried out paving projects on Highway 15.
The next scheduled blitz will take place in late October when modular trusses will be installed under the bridge.
