Three small fires are also burning in the Big Bar area and one small fire – southwest of Quesnel. Airtankers provided support to one of the fires near Big Bar last night and crews are mopping up the fire this morning.

The Wildfire Management Branch is expecting a downturn in the weather throughout the Cariboo-Chilcotin with an increase in thunderstorm activity, showers and cooler temperatures.

The public is being asked to report any smoke or fires in the area.
