A 22 year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of James Willits, the city of London’s first homicide victim of 2015.

Police say Willits, 29, was assaulted in his London, Ont. apartment at 297 Baseline Rd. W. on March 2 and later died of his injuries in hospital.

On March 3, police charged Steven Antone, 22, and Ronald Chrisjohn, 31, with second-degree murder in relation to Willits’ death. Antone was also charged with robbery, but his whereabouts were unknown at the time and police issued a warrant for his arrest.

Curtis Pease, 33, and Cassandra McGall, 21, both of London, were also charged at the residence with accessory after the fact to murder.

That charge is defined as “anyone who, knowing that a person has been a party to the offence, receives, comforts or assists that person for the purpose of enabling that person to escape.”

Anyone with information related to the murder of Willits, or any information related to suspects who may have helped Antone evade arrest since March 2 are asked to contact London Police.
