The semi driver was not injured.

RCMP closed Highway 39 just after the crash at 1 p.m., and reopened it just before 7 p.m.

The woman’s next of kin still has not been notified, so no further details are being released of her identity.

An activist group ‘Time to Twin‘ has been calling for Highway 39 to be twinned for years, saying it’s a dangerous roadway. The Saskatchewan government is working on a twinning project, but in sections.
