Wildrose’s Dave Schneider wins Little Bow riding by 10 votes in recount

Above Watch: The official results of a recount from last week’s elections are in, and in the riding of Little Bow, Wildrose candidate Dave Schneider won by a hair. Sarolta Saskiw reports.

LETHBRIDGE – The candidate for the Wildrose Party won the riding of Little Bow by just 10 votes, according to official election results released on Friday.

Dave Schneider took the seat with 4,803 votes compared to the PC’s Ian Donovan who placed second with 4,793.

Initial election results released at the conclusion of the 2015 Alberta election indicated Schneider had won by a margin of 12 votes, prompting officials to conduct a recount.

The riding has been held by the PCs since 1989. It changed hands in 2012 when Donovan won the seat for the Wildrose. Donovan crossed the floor to the PC party in November 2014.
