CALGARY – Good news for bird lovers: The University of Calgary and the Calgary Zoo are getting up close and personal with their live streams of two feathered families.
The University of Calgary set up a web cam (above) and is providing live video of a family of falcons. The pair of birds was first spotted late in March, and over the last few weeks the birds have been busy getting their home ready. Four eggs can be seen so far.

At the zoo, a pair of ospreys flew in April 16, and can be seen nesting on a platform on St. George’s Island.
Enmax has a webcam set up at the platform, which has been home to osprey for almost 20 years.
“We’re pleased to provide live streaming video so nature enthusiasts can get a true birds-eye view of nest building, egg laying, hatching, feeding and the first flights of the osprey chicks,” said Enmax on its site. The company urges people to tweet @Enmax with a guess about when the first eggs will be laid.
