EDMONTON — Two Alberta families were examining the damage to their homes Thursday caused by a grass fire.
One building was destroyed, while a second was severely damaged at a home just south of Wetaskiwin. The home went up in flames with twenty dogs inside, but all of them were saved.
The family is in complete shock, neighbours said.
“I’d like to have everyone maybe pray for the Brack family who have lost absolutely everything,” said neighbour Cindy Ekkel.
Part of Ekkel’s home also caught fire when she went to help her neighbour.
Damage to the Ekkel home was limited to the garage, yard and RV.
The family did lose a trunk full of family memories.
