UPDATE – RCMP have arrested the suspect driver.
Cpl. Joe Duncan says the 30-year-old man and his Ford SUV were found in the McCulloch Road area.
Duncan says the driver ran a red light at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Pandosy Street, hit a taxi, turned into the supermarket parking lot and drove into the window of the building.
He is facing potential Criminal Code and Motor Vehicle Act charges.
KELOWNA – RCMP are looking for a hit-and-run driver who smashed into a Kelowna grocery store Thursday morning.
It happened at about 10:15 at the Lakeview Market in the Pandosy Village area.
Witnesses say the store manager and others tried to remove the keys from the vehicle but the driver backed up and took off eastbound on KLO Road.
There are indications the suspect vehicle may have hit a taxi-cab before crashing into the store, causing significant damage.
There are no reports of any injuries.
