WINNIPEG — 15 homes were evacuated after a grass fire fuelled by strong winds threatened the buildings near Steinbach, Manitoba.

Steinbach RCMP responded to the blaze around 1 p.m. Friday.
Emergency crews had the flames put out by around 3:30 p.m. and everyone was allowed back into their homes.
No injuries resulted from the fire.
The cause of the blaze is unknown but the investigation is underway.
