WINNIPEG — Thousands of hogs were killed during a barn fire in the RM of Ste. Anne Friday afternoon.
Steinbach RCMP responded to the fire around 12:45 p.m. roughly five kilometers south of Highway 1 on Highway 12.

It’s believed there were 3,000 hogs in the barn and none made it out alive according to Steinbach RCMP.
The fire was extinguished by 3:30 p.m.
No one was injured in the fire and no damage estimate is available.
Fire crews remain on the scene and investigations continue into the cause of the blaze.
