NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask. – A teen has been charged after making threats on social media. Mounties say shooting threats were made Wednesday on Facebook at John Paul II High School in North Battleford, Sask.
Police say they were alerted to the threats around 3:40 p.m. Mounties arrested an 18-year-old man from the Little Pine First Nation and charged him with two counts of uttering threats.
His name is not being released at this time as one of the alleged victims is a youth.
Battlefords RCMP said these types of situations are difficult for everyone involved and they are working with school administration to ensure the safety of students and employees.
