Nose Hill Park grass fire under control, crews look for hot spots

CALGARY –  Firefighters battled a “stubborn” grass fire in Nose Hill Park Monday afternoon, two days after a similar fire burned due to windy conditions.

Fire officials said the fire was in thick brush, but was under control as of 3 p.m.

Crews continued to search the area for hot spots, and officials urged Calgarians to properly dispose of smoking materials and monitor backyard fire pits.
