KELOWNA — An early morning townhouse fire in Kelowna is under investigation. Fire officials were called to the complex in the 100 block of Kneller Road just after midnight Sunday.
“Command reported flames going up the front of one unit in the middle of a 10 unit, 2 story townhouse complex,” says Kelowna fire department platoon captain, Eric Simpson. “Flames had made [their] the way up to the attic. The fire was quickly knocked down and only one unit was affected.”
The three people who live in the unit, two adults and a child, escaped safely but are now out of a home. They, along with their dog, are in the hands of Emergency Social Services.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
