From Global BC:
“To all viewers, thanks for all your feedback. We’ve read them all. We support Kristi, her wardrobe choices and all women who work while pregnant.”

VANCOUVER – Global BC meteorologist Kristi Gordon received a letter on Wednesday.
The letter was from a viewer who had an opinion about what Kristi was wearing on the air. Kristi is pregnant with her second child and when she became pregnant this time, she asked viewers to be kind to her about her choice of attire. When she was pregnant with her first child she received numerous letters and messages criticizing her for her style of dress.
This letter reignited that conversation.
“Nowhere on North America TV have we seen a weather reader so gross as you,” reads the letter.
“We now turn off Global.”
The person did not put their name on the letter, nor their return address so we could respond.

But sadly, that is not the only letter Kristi has received.
“Buy some decent clothes and have some respect for your unborn child,” reads another. “You’re not the first pregnant woman. OMG.”
Another letter suggests she should wear looser tops.

Kristi says she was partly expecting this, due to what happened last time she was pregnant. “I feel like I’m a pretty confident person,” she says, “I wouldn’t be in this industry if I wasn’t and I don’t feel like this is affecting me, or has affected me.”
However, she says on Wednesday night she did check herself out in the mirror a few times, she asked her husband if she was getting really big and just couldn’t see it, and it was only when she went to bed that she realized those mean words had affected her in some way.
