MONTREAL — Police in St. Jerome, Que. are on the hunt for two meat thieves.
According to police, the two men, armed with recyclable shopping bags, visited the local MAXI supermarket at around 4 p.m. on March 11.
Trawling the meat sections, they filled their bags with packages of meat and fish.

They then headed for the exit, bypassing the tills. But after the suspects were spotted by a security guard, they fled by car, leaving the bags full of food on the ground.
Police are searching for the getaway vehicle: a gold Chevrolet Cavalier with a transit sticker and no license plates.
They have also released a surveillance photo and video of the two suspects: a white man in his 20s with brown hair wearing an Edmonton Oilers hoodie and black pants, and another older white man in his 40s who wore a black hat, a blue and black coat and black pants.
If anyone has information that could help authorities track down the two suspects, they are asked to contact St. Jerome police at (450) 432-3000, extension 2255.
