Sakkat is accused of targeting students of a local dance studio with online threats, defamatory comments and anti-Semitic views between Oct. 2013 and Oct. 2014.

Police believe the threatening behaviour continued after she left Canada in May 2014, which led to Interpol becoming involved.

Edmonton police investigators went to Germany and took Sakkat into custody on March 12. She was extradited to Edmonton.

Sakkat is charged with four counts of criminal harassment, five counts of uttering threats, five counts of fraud, and four counts of breach of recognizance.
