Equipment problems and switch issues cause delays on several GO train trips

TORONTO – Equipment and switching problems resulted in delays for GO train commuters this morning.

The Barrie 7:30 was 10 minutes late reaching Union Station after an equipment issue resulted in a 20 minute delay at Aurora.

Another equipment problem led to cancellation of the Union 7:50 to Oshawa. Passengers were accommodated on the Union 8:13 to Oshawa train.

On the Milton line, the Milton 7:08 was 15 minutes late at Union Station due to a track switch issue and freight train traffic.

The track switch problem affected later Milton GO train trips, which arrived five to 10 minutes late at Union Station.
