PENTICTON – The jury at a Penticton double-murder trial has heard from a RCMP blood stain pattern analyst.
Sgt. Diane Cockle says she saw what appears to be numerous blood spatter drops on pants belonging to John Koopmans.
He is charged with fatally shooting two people and injuring a third inside a Princeton residence in March 2013.
Cockle testified the stains on the right thigh of the jeans is consistent with those produced when a bullet enters a human body.
She says a large calibre handgun would produce a level of force that would create high energy spatter stains.
