LONDON – More than 100 people have attended a funeral for Bollywood legend Dev Anand at a small chapel in London.
Pallbearers had to push their way through reporters and fans bearing tribute banners as Anand’s casket was taken to the Putney Vale Crematorium in west London on Saturday.

Anand died of cardiac arrest in a London hotel Dec. 3 after travelling to Britain for a medical checkup. He was 88.
Famed for his roles in dozens of movies, including “Jewel Thief” and “Guide,” the veteran actor, director and producer was working up to the last minute, with a new script in the works.
His ashes will be returned to India for immersion burial in the Godavari River.
