UPDATE: Police renew call to find man possibly connected to Vancouver’s third homicide of 2015

UPDATE: Vancouver police are renewing their appeal to help locate a man who is wanted for questioning in connection with what is now being treated as Vancouver’s third homicide of 2015. Investigators now say the victim was murdered and the case is being treated as a homicide.

Vancouver police are looking for a man who is wanted for questioning in connection with the suspicious death of a woman in East Vancouver on March 3.

The 36-year-old victim was found in the basement suite of a home on East 22nd Avenue and Main Street by police.

According to VPD spokesperson Sergeant Randy Fincham, 42-year-old Daniel Alphonse Paul is considered a “person of interest in the case and that he has valuable information to share in relation to the woman’s death.”

Paul is described as Aboriginal, 5’8″ tall and has a medium build with brown eyes and short black hair.

The VPD Major Crime Section and Forensic Identification Unit are investigating the scene.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Paul is asked to call 911 or Crimestoppers.
