WATCH: Texas man leaves giant love note in snow

While most people in North Texas were dreading the thought of clearing more than 15 centimetres of snowfall from their driveways, Darren Brock was thinking of a way to declare his love for his fiancée.

“The best thing that I feel I want to provide, for her to know I love her, is to say it big and loud,” he told CBS.

So he snuck out of his apartment in Fort Worth, Texas while his fiancée Andrea Riggs was still sleeping.

With a good pair of boots and a bit of coordination, Brock spelled out “I <3 U Andrea” in the snow.

When Andrea woke up, she was able to see the message through the window.

“I looked at him and back out and said, no one’s ever done this for me,” she said. “It’s very sweet.”

It wasn’t the simplest or the quickest task to ensure that each letter turned out neat and legible.

“There was a part where I though, I’ll stop at ‘I love you,’” said Brock. “But I needed her to know it’s for her.”
