8 charged in Saskatoon dial-a-dope bust

SASKATOON – Eight men are facing possession and trafficking charges after Saskatoon police busted a dial-a-dope operation. The charges come after search warrants were executed over the weekend following a lengthy investigation.

Members of the integrated drug enforcement team, along with support from a number of other units, searched residences in the 900-block of 15th Street East, the 100-block of St. Lawrence Court, the 700-block of Hart Road and the 300-block of Pendygrasse Road.

Officers seized over $70,000 in cash, 208.5 grams of crack cocaine and 5.6 grams of cocaine.

Eight men, ranging in age from 20 to 36, are facing a total of 30 charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime. Two of the men are also facing charges of breaching Alberta court conditions.

No names have been released.

They are all scheduled to appear in Saskatoon provincial court on Monday.
