KELOWNA – Signs of growth in the Okanagan’s largest city are everywhere but now Kelowna has been ranked as the fast-growing city in all of B.C. That according to Statistics Canada with estimates based on the time frame between July 2013 to June 2014.
Kelowna’s population growth is at 1.8 per cent; which ranks it the fifth fastest-growing metropolitan area in the country behind Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Regina.
At 3.6 per cent, Calgary saw the faster-growing rate in Canada. The national average is 1.4 percent.
Vancouver is the only other B.C. city that placed in the top 10 of fastest-growing cities in Canada by coming in ninth.
