School board officials said that they first heard about the reports of a possible predator in the area via the media and Facebook.

“The New Frontiers School Board was never contacted by the Chateauguay police regarding this incident,” the school board noted in a statement.

“The School Board administration has since contacted the police to get the official report and has asked that the School Board be informed when incidents of this nature occur.”
