Justin Chatwin to shoot ‘Breed’ pilot in Vancouver

TORONTO — Small screen stars Justin Chatwin and Aisha Hinds will be in Vancouver next month to shoot the pilot for Breed.

The supernatural thriller from John Scott Shepherd focuses on the investigation into brutal murders in Washington State committed by mysterious beings.

The pilot, for U.S. cable channel TNT, will be filmed in March on location and at the soundstages of North Shore Studios.

Chatwin, 32, is a Nanaimo, B.C. native best known for his role on Shameless. His credits include appearances on Weeds and in the made-in-Toronto series Orphan Black.

He will play police detective Cooper Wells and Hinds will play his captain.

Hinds, 39, is a veteran actress who recently played Carolyn Hill on Under the Dome. Her long list of credits include roles on TV series like NCIS: Los Angeles, Bones and True Blood as well as films including Star Trek Into Darkness and If I Stay.

German actress Nadia Hilker plays an assassin who helps Wells track down and eliminate the killers.

Breed also stars Amber Clayton (St. Vincent) as Wells’ girlfriend.
