HALIFAX – Crews were called to a fire at a building in Halifax’s north end on Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters went up on the roof of the building near North Street and Robie Street, which is home to residential apartments and Java Blend Coffee Roasters.
It is unknown how serious the fire was or how it started, but crews were working near the chimney over the building’s apartments.

Police closed roads in the area and a Metro Transit bus was brought in for residents who had to leave the building.
