MONTREAL — The premier of Quebec was caught in a compromising position with an American actor, after Thomas Lennon shared an intimate selfie on Instagram, which was later removed.

Late Wednesday, the actor posted a nude photo of himself in his hotel, with his reflection strategically placed behind the TV screen built into the bathroom mirror.

“Nude Selfies with the TV screen built into the hotel mirror make things complicated,” he wrote.

“Like this man who now bears the face of my junk for now.”

“This man” just happened to be the leader of the Quebec Liberal Party and 31st premier of the province, Philippe Couillard.

The story banner under the premier’s face read: “Controversial Imam Speaks Out,” which at first caused some confusion as to his identity.

Some took to social media to suggest the imam may not be very pleased to be pictured in this manner.

“First thing, nice bod Thomas … But I wonder what the imam would have to say,” tweeted Bonnie Lou.

While Torsten tweeted, “Wonder how the imam feels about his new gig?”

Others were quick to point out the irony of the juxtaposition of the premier’s face with where it appeared on Lennon’s body.

The word “couille” in French, like “cojones” in Spanish, is a slang term used in Quebec to describe a man’s testicles.
