REGINA – The city’s biggest and most expensive project is on schedule and around 22 per cent complete.

The new stadium in Regina has had almost 12,000 cubic metres of concrete poured and more than 1,200 tonnes of reinforcing steel has been used. Currently 190 people are working on the Riders’ new home.

“I am impressed and thankful that PCL is able to keep making so much progress during our winter months,” said Mayor Michael Fougere. “Their efforts are indicative of the enthusiasm our community has for this project and Reginans are excited to see the progression at the site.”

“In February, we will begin the foundation work in the lower bowl. This enables us to begin the work for all the seating that will be below grade, which is over half the seats in the stadium,” said Sean Hamelin, District Manager PCL Construction Management Inc.
